What were your family cars though history?

I'm 19 so I can only go back so far.

We started with a

White Ford 1995 Aerostar (Piece of crap according to my mom)

Then a

Red Chevrolet 1996 Lumina (No idea why he owned vans as I'm an only child)

After that a

Blue Buick 1997 Skylark (We were living in Illinois at this point)

Followed by a

Tan Ford 1998 Taurus Wagon (I thought sitting backwards in the backseat was cool)

Then a

Blue Saturn 2001 L-Series (Pretty cool)

Finally a

Blue Saturn 2004 Vue (Our current car)

My dad had a Green Dodge Truck for maybe 15 years and now has a White 2002 Jeep

My cousin has a Dodge Charger and my aunt had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and now has a Nissan Altima (Nissan is the only foreign car in our family) My uncle has a 2005 Saturn Vue...same model as ours but it's silver.

My grandfather had a Red 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. He died in '89 and my grandmother kept it in great condition until she died in '99. My mom and aunt sold it.

I want to either get a Ford Flex or a Mercury Mariner in the future.

I don't think either of my parents owned a car when they lived in the UK, but after they came to Canada these were the family cars:
Nash (don't know the model or year)
Morris Traveler 1500 station wagon
Datsun 510 station wagon with a 97 HP 1.6 liter
Datsun F10 hatchback
Datsun pickup with 1.2 liter engine
Toyota Tercel hatchback
Ford F100 pickup, 1971, styleside longbox with 302 and 4 speed manual.
Toyota Tercel wagon, 1986, still running, but rusty and burning oil.

Myself:
That 1971 F100 pickup [wrecked by hit-and-run driver]
1960 Mercury M100 Styleside shortbox pickup ($400) [salvaging parts]
1959 Mercury M100 Flareside shortbox pickup ($225) [slowly fixing up]
1981 Mustang hatchback with 3.3 liter straight six and auto ($1000) [sold]
1981 Ford E150 van with 4.9 liter straight six and auto ($600) [used for storage]
1960 Ford panel delivery ($1200) [rusting in yard]
1957 Ford panel delivery ($1500) [driving and fixing up]

Datsun 510 station wagon... still one of the best-looking cars ever, in my opinion.

I love this... it says the F10 has "corner-hugging front wheel drive":

'86 Tercel wagon... my mom's friend had one of these... heck, she might still have it. Ran like a total champ.

Hmmm... I had no idea Mercury was in the truck business. Interesting.

What type of engine did you have in the F-100. Mine was a straight six with three on the tree. It was concidered a commercial vehicle when my grandfather bought it for deliveries for the grocery store that he owned.

I loved it, and miss it. Of course, we tend to fetishize our first cars.

I'm 65 years old, so I can go back a ways.

Cars I remember my father having:

1. 36 Olds grey 4 door sedan
2. 47 Chrysler black 4 door sedan
3. 56 Chevrolet 4 door station wagon (which I learned to drive on.)
5. 63 Chevrolet Impala 4 door sedan
6. 68 Pontiac Catalina 2 door sedan V8 with three on the tree.
7. 70 Pontiac Catalina 4 door sedan.
8. 74 Pontiac 2 door
9. 81 Olds Cutlass
Now I'm forgetting some because I have to jump to a 98 Buick, and then an 05 Lincoln Continental.
He told me a story about his first car, a 1931 Hupmobile. Rain used to get in through the windows or roof and my mother would ride in the car with an umbrella up.

Now for my cars:
1. 56 Chevrolet convertible
2. 62 Chev Impala convertible
3. 66 Chev Impala SS coupe, 327, 4 speed.
4. 72 Camaro SS350
5. 87 Chev Cavalier
6. 89 Pont 6000 (now married with children)
7. 97 Pont GP Coupe
8. 07 Ford Mustant GT (still married, kids gone)
