What is a street machine?
I've heard the term "street machine" a few times. What makes a car a street machine as opposed to say, a hot rod?
"The Devil wants his soul. I just want the man."

Motor/Gear head purists would say that the difference all comes down to cars from 1948 and older, known as Street Rods, and cars from 1949 and newer, being called Street Machines. It could be said that Street Rods and Hot Rods are one in the same. However over time the term Hot Rod has been come generic and loosely based, not in a bad way, just in a broader concept. It is sort of like how in the 90s Rollerblading was a big up and coming sport. In reality the sport is in-line skating and Rollerblade is an actual manufacturer trade name. Regardless, rollerblading became the go to term for the sport as a whole.
Sorry, for the winded response. This board is so boring these days. Anytime there is a chance to discuss something of value I jump on it.
