1. Some perspective employer. You also need to take a WRITTEN test. You can get a handbook from your local DMV, as rules and regulations regarding commercial drivers licenses are FEDERAL.
2. Who knows.
3. Endorsements require additional written tests. Hazmat includes a variety of hazardous materials, liquids, oxygen, etc. The regulations and requirements also changed after 9/11. I never had such an endorsement, but I believe you'll have a lot to study. Same with tankers. You also have to demonstrate knowledge how to operate a vehicle transporting such items, loading these materials, what to do in emergencies, etc.
4.......... School buses fall into "Class B" territory and many of those are auto transmission. There may be others, but you'll really have to look for a place that is hiring and willing to train. Unless you KNOW an individual who owns their own truck. Then again, I think you need to provide proof that you were trained by a licensed trainer, not just by some random dude who owns his own commercial vehicle.
Get trained by a proper driving school, other wise you'll be endangering the lives of ever other driver around you.
