Australia--I might go. Please give advice. I have questions.
I might go to Australia this coming June by myself, like most of the time when I travel. I've done little research so far. But I want advice from those of you who have been there already. I would take off from the United States. Does the price of the plane ticket tend to rise, if I wait, let's say until April to buy the ticket? I would want to visit Brisbane, Malbourne and Sydney. The plane arrives in Sydney. What city do I go after Sydney? Are there any cities near-by I should visit? Do I take a train, bus or plane? Are there places where you are allowed to pet/touch kangaroos or Koalas? Is is true many shops in some cities close at 5:00 P.M.? Is the average temperature in June about 10 degrees celcius? Should I visit, maybe another country, like South Korea or Taiwan? Is it rainy season? I like eating snacks. I like nachos, hot dogs with nacho cheese and pizza New York style. Are there places where they serve these kind of American snacks? What are good, popular Australian snacks? Do they sell Dr. Pepper soda in Australia? The only thing I know is that I would eat Nando's chicken with dark red sauce. What are the must-see places like museums or shopping malls? I'm not into discos. I don't drink, but if bars sell good food or snacks, I'll go right away. Any advice helps. Thanks in advance.
