Last time I saw the work it was in the 1998 saatchi exhibition the shock of the new alongside John Currin and Elizabeth Peyton. They were figurative paintings of children that had a uneasy feeling to them. The painting I remember clearest was of a baby with a blue background with red buttons.

shareNo I found the artist I was looking for. It's nothing like Peyton or currin, who in themselves aren't really anything like each other other than they are portrait artists.

shareI'd have to check in my research folder. It was a while since I asked and I had to research over 90 artists as well as theatre companies for my degree. It was a woman and her recent work is rather meh which is why when she was in the show with currin and Peyton that she became a lot less known than them. She wasn't even in the catalogue for the show
