Thanks for the recommendations Red-Barricuda (very interested in all of your international suggestions in particular!). How great was Man From Reno? (Though it presented sort of a categorization quandary for me had it been selected, since it's an American film, but mostly in Japanese).

Man from Reno is very good. I think its mixture of an American setting with Japanese characters made it a very distinctive neo-noir. I think it would definitely be a good selection for next year's fest, especially given that it is still well under the radar and has not been seen by too many people which is a real shame.

I'm always impressed by your knowledge of indie horror (how did you hear about the film with 14 votes?)...I'll keep an eye out for all of those titles if they become more easily available.
