Logan is looking very positive from its trailers . I think it has got lot going towards it , Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart last roles plus the trailers have given an impression that it is not run of mill superhero movie , Also having x23 as female wolverine will get some female audiences. Now what do you guys think it will do in opening weekend. I think it will do 75M+ but can it breakout like Deadpool.
shareDon't think it's that unbelievable if you look at how strong the X-men brand was at the time. The previous X-men film scored the second biggest opening weekend at the time (behind only Spider-Man), while X2 scored the third biggest (behind Spider-Man and the first Harry Potter). The problem was it was always a very frontloaded franchise, and the poor reception of X3 and Origins severely hurt the brand, and to some extent has yet to really shake that off (though at this point, franchise weariness is also likely playing a factor).
Still, there is quite an audience for X-men, and with its excellent marketing that has made it clear you don't need to see the previous X-men films and that this'll likely be the lass time Hugh Jackman plays the character, Logan does have the potential to bring back a lot of people that skipped out on films like Wolverine, First Class and Apocalypse.
