Pretty fvcking sad.

Why is it sad? Pretty sure the 5-day Valentine's weekend isn't a thing, anyway.

Shut it, Love Actually! Do you want me to hole punch your face?

reply

They all are franchise entry anyway no ? Not much importance who win in that context.

Other than being obvious, since Lego Batman is a kid's movie and won't be seen by the target audience when they're at school and in bed before eight, it's silly to get annoyed by the success of franchise just because you don't like it.

I could understand in some ways (we are not very rational) for a movie franchise that take a lot of place in a studio slate, the best 3D screens and time from the top people in the industry that could be doing something else (in a totally egocentric way).

But those 50 shades mid budget affair involving who knows who, seem to be as free of consequence on even an avid moviegoers life as it can get. Also they are really bold movie, the new one is even 16+ in Canada, that is really rare.

Exactly, this isn't hogging IMAX screens away from a Chris Nolan movie or something. And especially this week, with three movies making over $30m it shows that it isn't hogging every screen in every theatre. There's literally nothing to be annoyed about.

Also, in terms of content, it's just become one of those internet whipping boys. Like how everyone wants to pretend that Batman and Robin or Fant4stic are the worst movies ever, ever, ever when they objectively aren't.

Its noy just me that doesnt like it.

reply

Surprisingly enough not all movies are made for you to like.

reply

Regardless, I don't like it either, but it IS silly to be annoyed at something so, frankly, trivial.

Unless you made a bet against this movie's success with some Russian gangsters and the fact it's doing well now means they're going to break your legs, it's just unimportant.
