Are celebrities really posting their own twitter messages?

Or do they just have their agents or personal assistants do it for them? Being busy, they wouldn't have time to actually sit down and blog that much. Which leads me to believe that they only do very little of it. I never know if it's actually from them or not, even if it is an official account. When you're famous, you constantly have to be on the move. What do you think?

This I know for sure, as this is my area of expertise. Generally, yes celebrities are the ones who post on their twitter accounts. But their managers or Social Media Managers usually have access to post promotional tweets every know and then. When it comes to Facebook, those "Verified Celebrity Pages" are 9 times out of 10 run by a manger or publicist. Most celebrities use Instagram or tumblr which then goes to twitter which can post to Facebook as well. Just depends on the skill of the manager. Some celebs have google+ pages too but that's another publicist thing. The newer places where you will see the real deal is Keek.com where they can post 30 second videos and Ask.FM as well.
Facebook has a serious impostor problem and so I know many just don't have account there, they just do twitter. Although I do know some celebs that have private accounts.

I believe Ron Howard does it. Some months back he was tweeting from a ball game (basketball?) and sent out a picture of himself and his son at the game. I tweeted back asking for a job but didn't hear anything. So it must have been him.

I want to know if Mike Tyson writes his own tweets. The guy is insightful and intelligent, not at all what I expected him to sound like.

Didn't Elizabeth Taylor have her assistant write her tweets when she was alive?

I think Simon Pegg does; he always uploads photos of himself ("selfies") the same time his tweets are made, so I'm 99.8% it's all him...

I've heard that Tom Hanks usually posts his own Twitter messages when he can.
