Are YOU Influenced by Celebrities?

I am a undergrad student tapping into the depths of researching whether or not todays society is heavily influenced by celebrities. I am carrying out a research project and I would love to know if any of you have any particular feelings towards this particular matter?

Surrounded by celebrity culture day in and day out, my computer screen, phone, TV and wherever I pretty much go is saturated with celebrities and in particular, Kim K's "perfect" hourglass figure and lets not forget her "oh so amazing" husband, Kanye West. A power couple some would say others would disagree, however they are literally everywhere with millions of fans. There is no escaping celebrity culture and I would particularly like to know how people perceive celebrities as a whole especially those with no real "talent", Kim Kardashian a worldwide figure, yet what exactly is her talent apart from well, sex tapes?
