The Next Great Bio-pics

Movie biographies are people-pleasers. There’s a familiarity built right in that makes it that much easier for the film makers. They’re about a real life past experience and often have some aspect of nostalgia going for it. Key to the formula however is casting the right person in the right project. The following are my suggestions for bio-pics which I believe will be the best pairings of real people’s stories played by real good actors.

James Franco in The Mister Rogers Story

Javier Bardem is “Jim Jones” in Jonestown

Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield in a remake of Reversal of Fortune

My suggestion:

Ida B. Wells, played by Viola Davis, possibly with a special focus on the Memphis lynching of 1892
