Bio of Isaac Newton

I just read a biography of Isaac Newton, "Isaac Newton: The Last Sorcerer", by Michael White. I did some searching and found that there never has been a full-length feature film devoted to Newton's life and exploits. There was so much drama, fascinating characters, achievement, and unexpected surprises in the life of this man that I can't imagine how, or why, Hollywood has neglected this subject for so long.

If not a feature film, Newton's life would lend itself admirably well to a TV series, something like which was done with "I, Claudius" in decades past. I'm even thinking of who, among the actors of today, might depict the dozen or so key characters in Newton's life. Too bad Olivier isn't around any more (or a host opf actors of past eras who could have handled the subjects with gusto and elucidation). But, surely, there are competent actors today who could do the job admirably well.

Hollywood, what the hell are you waiting for? Give us a break from the violence, the high-tech nonsense, the childish comedy. Newton is a subject long overdue for depiction on the silver screen, or the TV screen, for that matter. Even without delving, full-blown, into the mathematics, which would not be necessary, there's so much there in terms of drama, psychological interpretation, character interaction - a gold mine that has yet to be discovered, let alone tapped for its treasure.
