Oh goodness, there is so much surrounding his death. It'd be interesting which direction they would take it in but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon because of that.

Rest in Peace Michael Clarke Duncan, your smile will be missed.

Hello friend!

Oh boy, now I want that to happen. Please don't tease me. Mackie + Cooke would be awesome. Anthony is one of my favorites and in my opinion one of the best actors of this current generation of "young-ish" talent and has yet to really breakout. Sam was wonderful, talented, and he made beautiful music. He could sing anything and make you feel it. I recall my mother telling me he was one of the first black stars she remembered that didn't have to portray a stereotypical image or play himself down in some way. When he sang he enunciated each word. He was handsome, young and charismatic, a heartthrob. Intelligent. He didn't have to play it up for laughs and I think that was what was so appealing to a lot of people, finally being able to see a truer representation of themselves. But he had something that created a connection to all kinds of people.

And you know Mackie wants to do the Jesse Owens biopic. Now that project is perfect for him. If that came to fruition I wouldn't mind someone else doing the Sam Cooke film. But it would probably have to be an unknown.
