As a political tragic I'll be sure to see it though she wouldn't be my ideal choice. Feel that Gillard is an interesting character and would be difficult to portray seeing as she's naturally very warm in person though her time in office showed her to be a very Machiavellian political operative. I would have gone for someone like Cate Blanchett though physically she mightn't be a very good fit and doing the Gillard accent might be forced. Both actresses are admittedly a bit tall for the role, though I suppose you never get a proper physical fit with biopics.
Also a little disappointed on the book their choosing to adapt, 'The Stalking of Julia Gillard' by Kerry-Ann Walsh. I would much prefer a more balanced account, portraying the ethical dilemma Gillard was faced with in June 2010 about whether challenging Kevin Rudd for the leadership could improve the fortunes of the Labor Party and again in 2013 when she hung on to power arguably well after her popularity had completely slumped.
I'm a quitter! I come from a long line of quitters! In fact, it's surprising I'm here at all.
