I have seen a few videos of cats using a real toilet. Can a dog be trained to do the same you think?

Cats generally have much better balance than dogs, so I don't know. Plus if it's a male dog, peeing in a toilet might prove to be somewhat difficult logistically.

Unlike human males that have no trouble peeing in a toilet...

A dog could maybe use a toilet like a pig would if they were big enough...but cats using the toilet rely on both their ability to jump up on the toilet and balance themselves. Small dogs can't jump up and no dog can reliably balance itself, I wouldn't' think. Maybe I'm wrong. But unless a male dog pees while squatting I'm not sure how that would work anyhow!
