It sounds so good I think I'm gonna' run out to the store tonight and get the ingredients I need. I should be able to put the slow-cooker on "low" tonight before I go to bed and it should be ready when I get up tomorrow.

Not a bad idea. I may try experimenting with the ingredients in the future. I also thought of adding caraway seeds, like some people do with sauerkraut recipes...

In any case, I'll definitely be making this more than once.

...excellent...I will definitely try it. I would offer some advice. Go to a Polish deli and purchase either fresh or smoked Polish sausage per your preference...you will not be disappointed...the supermarket shrink wrapped Polish sausage is terrible compared to the real thing...

Good point. Luckily I have a European deli not too far from me that carries good "old school" Polish sausage.
