The best RUM-RAISIN used to be HAAGEN-DAZ, until they changed the formula. I think the "Politically Correct" eaters got a hold of it, because there's no "mouth feel" to it, anymore. It used to be so rich, that we ate it with plum pudding...instead of Hard sauce. Now, it tastes like artificial rum extract, in very thin ice milk...with a few bits of chopped raisin. ๎๎ท๎ต
I do hope he won't upset Henry...
Rum Raisin is my least favorite ice cream flavor. Right up there with rainbow sherbet.
shareI don't recall ever having Rum Raisin ice cream.
I can't see how it would not be good.
So far, the only flavors I truly dislike in ice cream are Coffee and Strawberry.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.
that's not cool. ๎ท

Did you maybe get some counterfeit Haagen Dazs rum-raisin ice cream??
I just bought a carton the other day, had some last night, and it was superb. Lots of big, plump raisins (whole ones, too - not "bits"), the ice cream was the perfect creaminess (did NOT seem like ice milk), and the rum and rum flavoring was just right.
I figure there must be different plants throughout the country/world that turn out the product... maybe the plant that makes your local product is on the blink, or has been taken over by ice cream terrorists?
In any case, my HD rum-raisin last night was really good. I will be buying more of it.
Don't mess with me, man! I know karate, judo, ju-jitsu..... and several other Japanese words.
good to hear. haven't seen it around these parts lately.
