Homemade Food Gift ideas...

I was looking through this site and found some easy and tasty gift ideas. While there is a little pop-up which comes up twice, I found hitting the x made it go away fast. The ideas are worth it and if you hit the "view all" button, you don't have to scroll through the slideshow.

What's fun also is these can be made on a budget. My extended family is big and now I can make something fun and sweet for them without blowing my Christmas budget.

Homemade baked goods or candy was always a favorite gift for me to receive.

It is for me also because of the thought which goes into it. Well..it's also the chocolate which my family knows is always welcome.

We have been canning jams and jellies for gifts

A family member does the same thing every year. He makes the best jalapeno jelly!

Did you see the one where warm gloves were used to hold the gifts? You could put a little sparkling cider bottle in one with crackers and the jam and jelly in the other.

We make jams and other various homemade gifts for friends and family and mainly purchase gifts for the young kids. Last year we made fire jelly with all kinds of really hot peppers and it was a big hit. One year we made corn hole boards for all the families and left them raw wood so they could all decorate them as they chose. My mom made the bags for each set.

My big cookie bake day is coming up and I'm going to keep this site in mind when planning what to make. Thanks!

You spoke about your jelly and jam gifts before. They all sound delicious. 

What a great idea about the corn hole boards. Our family loves to play. Hmmm..thank you for the gift idea.

One 4x8 sheet of plywood and I think 2 2x4x8 sticks of lumber makes one set. The hardest part for us was cutting the hole correctly, which is 6" in diameter and impossible to cut with a jig saw. We borrowed a hole saw from a plumber friend of ours. They were really a big hit especially because each family could decorate it how they wanted. Our neighbors are huge Bears fans and painted them blue and orange and put big fathead stickers on them. This year we got them new bags with the Bears C for their Christmas gift.

Great and thanks again! 

You saved me having to figure how much wood to buy. A cousin is a huge Raider's fan so that should be fun doing that.
