Hey Cousin : Steamed fresh cauliflower is WKD's favorite vegetable. Cauliflower is one of the few vegetables I won't buy frozen, for some reason the frozen cauliflower is very bland.

Wut? From reading all your posts about him I thought wkd liked and disliked the same stuff as me. And I have never been a fan of cauliflower. But if you say "fresh" cauliflower is better maybe I should give it a try. 



Okay, so what's going on after supper? What will "youse" (New Jersey pronoun) be doing/watching? 

Cousin: He likes his cauliflower drenched in butter, many people like to put melted cheese over it.
WKD always has a Hershey Bar and a Klondike bar after his supper, then he channel surfs until he falls asleep. (We get up very early in the morning, usually between 3:30 -4:30 am.) Now that football is over, he's been watching hockey and basketball.
I only have 2 programs I watch, The Big Bang Theory and Grimm otherwise I channel surf to see if anything interests me. I keep hoping Midnight ,Texas will finally air. I often just go to bed with a book.

I'm working my way through this new food magazine, so...

Tomato, Greens and Chickpea Skillet, with some curry seasoning. Comes with a poached egg.

Afters: little dish of golden pineapple

Way afters: PBS all evening- Father Brown, Mercy Street, and Victoria. Maybe some chocolate.

I could use some improvement in life right now. This week, I emerged from January from hell to learn- IMDB boards is going away. Words cannot describe my sorrow over this. Then, my favorite host on my favorite radio station is announced her retirement this year. Too much change going on!!! And then- darn, I opened a drawer in the kitchen island last night and the bottom of it fell out, utensils all over the place, scared the cat, scared me. My fun project for today is glueing and stapling it all back together. whoopie!

Remember how I used to kid you guys about Downton Abbey (aka "Downtown Alley" lol)...so then I srarted watching it, stared getting into it (and all the actors I recognized from other shows etc...), and then...

btw, did you see "A Prairie Home Companion" (2006) with Meryl Streep? I think you'd enjoy it. 

Oh, don'tcha just hate that kinda stuff. Me, my big kitchen scare comes when dishes standing in the dishrack decide to fall over "CLANK, CLINK, CLANK, CLANK, CLINK!!!" 

Gets me every time. I almost jump 2 feet off the couch like a cat being squirted with a water pistol. 

I usually have my plan in place, by this time on Saturday. But, I really don't know yet.

We're getting a reprieve from the monsoons, until Thursday ... there's actual sunshine, today. That makes me want something that will propel my mood into spring. Maybe, lamb chops and (surprise!) an artichoke. 
