That's a trend throughout the entire western world, ever more people are looking through the game of two right wing parties alternating in government while one of them pretends to be left.
There are barely any exceptions from this.
One right wing party close the the right border of the spectrum, like the Toris in GB, the CDU in Germany, Republicans in the US, etc.
Another right wing party just a bit less right, like Labour in GB, the SPD in Germany, Democrats in the US, etc.
Everywhere the lesser right wingers come up with "vote for us, we are the lesser evil", but voters are no longer buying it.
The ones who have always voted right keep voting right and the ones who would want to vote left but see no real left wing party on the ballots refuse to keep supporting the lesser right.
Subsequent voter participation is going down as left voters are staying home on election day and the strong right wingers who are at least honest enough to admit they are right wingers are winning all over the western world.
The good thing in this is, right wingers will no longer be able to blame the left for the downsides of their policies, Trump having the majority in ALL parts of government, including the majority of right leaning judges in the Supreme Court will now have to explain the problems the country has with something else and I can't wait to hear what the next scapegoat will be.
