FACT: No one here can legally justify cops murdering a mother and her infant daughter in cold blood just for kicks.

Prove me wrong by showing me a Missouri law that justifies cops murdering a mother and her infant daughter in cold blood just for kicks. https://kansascitydefender.com/justice/independence-police-kill-mother-infant/

The police released the body camera footage and the mom brandished the knife in a threatening manner. I consider this to be a justified shooting and I'm confident that most people will support the cops in the shooting.

“Yes, I was in the room when it all happened,” he began. “From what I could see, I never once saw Maria armed with anything. I honestly don’t even know where that came from. I’ve heard crazy things like that she was holding the baby hostage in a closet, that she had a knife, all this crazy stuff that’s not true. I mean, all I can say is it’s possible she had a knife and somehow I didn’t see it, but all I know is I never saw her holding anything—and I was right there in the room.”

He lied about everything.

Agreed. Reasonable people reserved judgment until more information was known. Anyone who jumped to conclusions is a non-thinker who shouldn't be able to vote. I just moved from Independence, MO where this took place, because the crime has grown rampant the past several years due to very stupid "liberal/not-actually-liberal" policies (seriously, it dropped to an F in just a few years, partly because it's now overrun by homeless, but most of the crime is coming in from Kansas City and slowly expanding outward), and the footage was released on local news prior to going national. This was absolutely a justified shoot.

The blame of the baby's death is on the mom for charging with a huge (I mean it's quite large) knife at the officer. The bodycam footage is quite clear. He had to protect himself. I suspect the cop who fired will spend the rest of his life in therapy, with many sleepless nights. They went there in the first place for a domestic violence call to help her! She may have been hopped up on drugs, given her demeanor in the footage, leading to her violent mindset and action. The baby was a victim of her bad choices.

People in the comments blaming child services are probably the same people saying parents should have more say/power over their kid being a tranny or woke in school. In the end, this was on the parents and they should be charged accordingly, well the father since he's the only one left alive.

I do think child services is partly to blame since they let the baby go back with the mother after she was dealing with postpartum depression. The Daily Mail noted that the mother might have tried to kill the baby back in October. The father is suffering from dissociative personality disorder so he might be too crazy to charge. I wonder if the cops were told to wait for mental health professionals since both mom and dad are CRAZY. It would be a waste of resources if three cops are waiting for an hour or more for the mental health professional to show up.

From the DM article:

But Pike had been suffering from severe postpartum depression, her family says, and in the moments after she gave birth to Destinii on August 22, she reportedly told hospital staff that she was homeless and she 'felt like hurting herself,' Talisa Coombs told the Star.

The grandmother went on to claim that social services was called on the couple again at the end of October, when Pike allegedly tried to smother her child in the woods.

She said Destinii was taken to a local hospital, and Pike checked herself into a mental hospital for an evaluation three days later.

When Destinii was later released from the hospital, Coombs said, a Children's Division employee brought her back to Holder's apartment and told Holder and Coombs - who was at the apartment at the time - that Pike could no longer be left alone with the baby.

Coombs also said the Children's Division ordered Pike and Holder - who is reportedly living with dissociative identity disorder and is collecting disability checks - to go to therapy and counseling.

You never know people still voted for Bill Clinton after he murdered those Waco kids.

Justified, she grabbed a knife. Cop feared for his life so he had to BLAM BLAM! to keep himself safe. Mental health worker? BAH! That's child stuff. The right clearly said they'd only get in the way and can lead to another dead person. Only the cop has the power to do everything everywhere all at once.
