My take on the 2024 election, 3 days later

Democrats don't get what Joe Biden did and looked like to the average American people, and they don't seem to care and people got fed up, and as a Democrat I cannot blame them.

From the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal on Biden's popularity rating kept declining. Then Biden who did some good things, or at least was in the White House when some good things were done tried to enhance his image by special favors to special constituencies, it was a nice idea, but it enraged average people. The student loan forgiveness bypasses the problem with higher, and lower education, and cutting the price of insulin - one drug - was nice but there are thousands of drugs that at still far overpriced. Find some interviews and listen to Mark Cuban talking about how his new company Cost Plus Drugs delivers low prices and transparency in the pharmaceutical market. Cost Plus Drugs works directly with drug manufacturers to bypass middlemen for lower prices. For consumers, the price of each drug includes a 15% markup as a profit margin, a $3 pharmacy handling fee and a $5 shipping fee. This is a great and rare example of capitalism in America working.

So then when Biden thought he had gaslit us enough, he decided to break his promise to Americans with record low approval rating. This was the death blow. After really screwing up big things, and then just doing the minimum, like lowering the price of one drug - insulin, or paying off the student debt of one relatively small group of people - the vast majority of Americans hurting from inflation said what about me, and concluded in addition to being condescending and too "woke" I think many gave up on Biden, with contempt.

No one liked either candiate, but the Democrats who had 4 years to do something blew the American people off and tried to manage them with token actions and too late - witness the border fiasco after 3 years when campaigning for a second undeserved term.

I don't think Americans like Republicans, but how else are we to send a message was to our government and specifically the Democrats - we do not like what you are doing and we see through your BS?

You Dems are doing nothing for us - with all kinds of things out there to prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Biden was senile by this point and it took that shameful debate performance - and still Democratic leadership defend him. Finally they had to kick him out. By that point Kamala Harris was the only possible replacement - another woman, without any approval, a minority women who Biden has saddled with the Border Czar label.

Kamala with her smug smile and annoying nod could no slam Biden, and could not get past her past - like video where she talked about sex change operations for illegal alien inmates? Absolutely unreal.

Kamala never had a chance, yet did the media or Democratic leadership actually react to that? No, they tried to gaslight us some more telling us the cost of living doesn't matter and to just hang on for some imagined price decreases. Meanwhile housing and interest rates went up making inflation really upward of 50% or even greater.

I am a lifelong Demcrat, a believer in the people should have a big say in government, but for 40 years Dems have done a little bit less than the absolute minimum.

I would not stoop to voting for Donald Trump, but I saw the writing on the wall. Think of how bad the Democrats must be that they voted for Trum AND turned the whole Legislative branch red - and Democrats did not see or react to any of it.

Americans are in such pain that they are resorting to self-harm by electing Trump. His rounding up illegals and tariff regime is going to really kick inflation into high gear. Hang on Middle, Working class, lower class, poor and homeless, it is going to be a genocide on you.

The entire top level of Democratic leadership must go, but almost no Democrat is left untouched by this massive malfeasance and it will take some time to reform the Democratic party - and the billionaire political donor class are likely to disrupt and kick the good Dems down to maintain their domination of American politics.

There is hardly anything more left that could go wrong. Biden was just as vain, selfish and egotistical as Trump, though not as criminal or treasonous, but he may as well have been.

A new take on illegal immigration. Scott Galloway had a podcast a while ago with the title "Unserious People" where he address this illegal immigration issue. He brought some new facts to light that changed my thinking on illegal immigration and the border.

Only 40% of illegal immigration comes from the Southern Border - most of it is from people who fly in and overstay their visas.

Of course we all know that illegal immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than legal Americans.

Scott Galloway's thesis on this is that in reality illegal aliens are the cheapest, most flexible, most highly skilled workforce, willing to work hard for a chance at being an American, most of whom pay taxes into the country with little hope to recoup any benefit of that. They eventually create businesses at a higher rate than Americans, and they bring a lot of information and diversity to our country.

Rounding them up and deporting them with cost an unimaginable amount, and deprive our economy of food processors, nannies, gardeners, handmen and all kind of other skills that Americans charge too much for. Try adding on a home addition with American labor sometime.

We benefit hugely from illegal aliens. We need to fix the system, not destroy it because it makes us the powerhouse economy that we amazingly still are.

And the real Americans here will distinguish themselves by being good winners.
The permanent trolls who behave like jerks are to be put on ignore, they are
not Americans.
