shareIt's a tragic situation but I contend that the shooting was appropriate. The kid made violent threats against his mother and he disobeyed police commands. The mother called to get her son under control and he was a threat to society. It was also really dark when the cop confronted the kid so it would be hard to tell if the kid was armed.

There is a link between autism and violence so the kid's autism should not be used as an excuse for bad behavior.
