1) I'm guilty but other people didn't get prosecuted for it
- that's a quick way to a guilty verdict.
2) I was cheated because I didn't have a jury!
- You could have but you waived it
3) I threatened the judge so they are biased against me
- Okay, so you want additional charged added on?
4) It's selective prosecution based on politics
- No, NOT charging you would be selective prosecution based on politics

Running for or holding a public office (esp. Potus) is obviously going to invite extra scrutiny into your finances. And when you run on the platform of being a successful businessman, it will invite even more scrutiny.

I'm sure he was warned about this before running for office, but he ignored it.
