At this point...I'm not even angry anymore. I'm just jealous I'm still paying for stuff like a sucker. Life would be a lot easier if I didn't have morals.
They should have a receipt checker by the doors like at BJ's and Costco, along with a security guard who isn't instructed to use a hands off approach. Allowing people to steal will lead to more stores closing, which sucks for the whole community.

What I meant is, if anyone DARE to try and stop a shoplifter now they are taking their lives in their hands.
Not to mention their reputation and freedom, as it seems shoplifters have become a protected class.
Perhaps. It seems like the majority now think they can get away with it due to the hands off policy with shoplifters, but there are definitely some unhinged people out their who wouldn't think twice about pulling out a blade.
All I know is that doing something is better than nothing at this point because an unfortunate precedent is currently being set.
