Shreveport, LA police shooting justified or murder?

The cops were called out at around 11pm for a domestic disturbance involving a husband who was high on something and threatening his wife and children. The husband jumped out of a second story balcony and fled but he stopped in an entrance and was shot by the cop. The husband later died.

The cop was arrested for negligent homicide. The husband THREATENED his wife and children so he was a potentially dangerous suspect. The husband was in flight or fight mode and he had stopped in an entrance. I personally think the shooting was justified since the husband had stopped fleeing and he was potentially waiting to ambush the cop. I could understand the cop getting fired BUT I don't think there is enough evidence for a murder charge. I don't think the cops could have let him go since he had already threatened the wife and children. The husband could have possibly talked his way out of the situation BUT he decides to jump off the 2nd floor.

They fire just about every officer now days that shoots somebody. Then pays them back pay later after the trial.
