The FBI searched U.S. President Joe Biden's home in Wilmington, Del., on Friday and located six documents containing classification markings and also took possession of some of his notes, the president's lawyer said Saturday.

Bob Bauer, the president's personal lawyer, said the search of the entire premises lasted nearly 13 hours. The documents with classification markings spanned Biden's time in the Senate and the vice-presidency, while the notes dated to his time as vice-president. The level of classification, and whether they remained classified, was not immediately clear as the Justice Department reviews the records.

The search followed more than a week after Biden's attorneys found six other classified documents in the president's home library from his time as vice-president, and nearly three months after lawyers found a small number of classified records at his former offices at the Penn Biden Center in Washington.

It came a day after Biden maintained that "there's no there there" on the document discoveries, which have become a political headache for the president and complicated the Justice Department's probe into former president Donald Trump's retention of classified documents and official records after he left office.

I think we should search the houses of all those on the Intel committee (whoever gets handed classified docs) just to see if those in Congress have any as well. It's a wonder how the US has survived this long keeping any secret nowadays. Maybe that's why dark money flows so smoothly within the halls of that place.

I don't think that a blanket search of members of congress with access to classified documents would be legal, but I bet it would likely turn up more documents. I find it mind-boggling that there isn't a system for tracking where the documents go and when they're returned. How could the government not realize that the documents were missing for so long? Whatever system is in place now, it's clearly insufficient.

Remember that supposed Fang-Fang China spy chick that was close to Swalwell? Would be interesting if that turned anything up. Sadly partisan issues will keep that under wraps. Like how Biden was on Trump and said he takes classified docs seriously then low and behold the hypocrisy set in.

Yeah, and I'm sure there are other spy operations like Fang Fang's being conducted by multiple nations. It's scary now that it's clear security protocols for classified documents are a joke. This should really transcend any partisanship; I think this should disqualify Biden and Trump from office. I agree that Biden looks terrible for admonishing Trump over the documents when he had them himself, and dating back to his time as a senator. It's disgraceful, and sadly likely more common in congress than the public is aware of.
