Federal prosecutors are investigating Rep.-elect George Santos’ finances

Federal prosecutors in New York are investigating the finances of Rep.-elect George Santos, a source familiar with the matter told CNN.

The news of the probe, being undertaken by the US attorney’s office in the Eastern District of New York, comes as the Republican has admitted to lying about key parts of his biography. Santos has faced questions over his wealth and loans totaling more than $700,000 he made to his successful 2022 campaign.

There's something hella sketchy going on there. Whether he's running some ponzi scheme on the side or he's got foreign money (Russia, China, wtf knows?) remains to be seen.

Or it could be they gave up trying to find something on Donald and they went to this guy now to waste money on.I'm just speculating because I have no idea how homo's think.

There have already been links uncovered that the money came from one of putins, russian, billionaire buddies, which is no surprise since it's been well known for quite awhile already that here in the US the (R) of "republican" has basically become a fully owned subsidiary of (R)ussia.
