Why isn’t incest legal?

I’m not condoning incest, but I have been wondering why it isn’t legal since the exact same arguments made for same-sex relationships and marriage can also be applied to incest.

The only real drawback is the possibility of having kids who may be physically or mentally disabled. Okay, but what about women or men who can’t have kids? Why can’t they have relationships with family members?

What about gay couples? Brothers or fathers and sons, or sisters or mothers and daughters. No one is getting pregnant by the other in those situations. So what’s the issue?

You can’t use the attitude that it’s “disgusting” or “an abomination” because those were attitudes of many who were against same-sex relationships.

So why isn’t every proponent of same sex relationships/marriage now fighting for the same rights for same-family relationships and marriage? Not doing so seems hypocritical.

To many other things to use to get into the homo press than to just go to the wall on that.And it is just speculating but Crusty does in the past just follow someone else. But as immigration increases (muslims) then that law will get changed. It will get okayed in some states that is progressive governed first. It will get a federal law okayed with the ban on abortion gets ended.

True and I know people who were first cousins and married, but no one had an issue with that.

I’m talking about people who are more directly related: parents and offspring or siblings.

It's coming. Believe me. Ever since they made gay marriage legal, it opened the doors for all this other stuff. I've actually been very surprised that nothing hasn't gotten rolling on this yet in the years since gay marriage became legal. Legally marrying your pet will be a thing eventually as well. It's discrimination that it's all illegal still. Just like it was discrimination to not let homosexuals be legally married. The can of worms has been opened. It's just a matter of time.

Gay males are grossed out at the prospect of sex with a woman. Some people find mustard disgusting. That's really not got anything to do with it one way or the other.

Oh, maybe I misread your statement.

I think the ban on incest, which most cultures have to some degree, goes beyond just stopping people from having children with problems. I can see how that would complicate family relationships. What happens when the daughter decides to break up with her brother or dad and there's bad feelings? So there are other reasons for them to be forbidden.

That is why in some cultures breaking up is not allowed. We will soon see a larger amount of incest and child marriages to a degree it is ignored in any kind of law to stop it.

Lot of gay males have children so obviously they get it up for women. Homosexuality is a fetish, it just means they prefer sex with their own gender, they aren't some different kinds of human.

The Quran has a little bit of just when you can do it than other religions.But as more move here I think the need will grow so they can have a better selection in marriage and still marry in their demographics.

My friend reply was. " dont tell anyone and its not a big deal" but like its a whole thing to be out of the closet and pride when to comes to homosexual activity these days. So i think there is an angle he is ignoring. The whole proud and loud aspect. That would not fly in an incestuous relationship cause it is on our most primitive instinctual level, weird . And not right
