I do not think the US should allow targeting of US weapons even IN Ukraine.

shareThat's debatable because once in Ukraine those weapons now belong to Ukraine. They aren't being borrowed, they're being donated. If the US takes the stance you suggest this war will quickly escalate and the US will be be drawn into direct conflict, and with mad man Putin's finger on the nuclear trigger the outcome could be too horrific to contemplate.
