Mo Brooks says Trump asked him to 'immediately' remove Biden from office and illegally hold a new presidential election

Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama said on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump pressed him to illegally remove President Joe Biden from office and hold a new presidential election, moves that are both unconstitutional.

"President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency," Brooks said in a statement responding to Trump's withdrawal of his endorsement of Brooks' US Senate campaign.

Trump really does live in a different reality than other Americans. What a snowflake.

Mo Brooks made the "offending" remarks when he was on the same stage with Trump at some rally.

It's only because Brooks is sliding in the polls today that Cheetolini decided to throw him under the bus.

What, exactly, were the mechanics of achieving this outcome? Does Mo Brooks hold the ring? I understand a single Senator can put a "hold" on a Presidential nominee for some department or agency. Bernie Sanders put a hold on Ben Bernanke when Obama wanted to reappoint him for Fed Chairman IIRC. But that can be overturned with a cloture vote.
