PSA: Don't let homeless people into your house! They just might slit your throat!

A lady in Utah let a homeless man take a bath in her bathroom and he ended up slitting her throat. She survived BUT many people don't survive a knife to the neck. In other news, homeless charities in San Fransicko, CA are asking for volunteers to shelter homeless people in their spare rooms or rental properties.

Aren’t all those cities run by Democrats?

There is no way in hell I would bring an unknown homeless person into my home!

See? We do agree on some things. I would never let a homeless person into my house and life either. I am a veteran and I've worked with homeless veterans. Some of these guys are phychos and really scary. Thankfully most are harmless but I don't take any chances.

During one of our past hurricanes which slammed Louisiana we had many evacuees arriving into Mississippi. An eight person family with 2 dogs were able to rent the house next to me for a week. They had to leave due to a prior commitment to other renters. I had taken them food because the shelves were being emptied by the evacuees at the grocery. When I learned they had to vacate the house I told them if it hadn’t been for the dogs I would have taken in all eight family members. I meant it as they were desperate due to their home being severely damaged.

If this push to take in homeless people continues we are going to see crime escalate!

I don't believe Salt Lake City has had a horrible homeless problems like other big cities so that might explain her naivete. Rising homeless populations in cities are an indicator of a larger problem nationwide since there aren't as many shelters or services in the suburbs.

Most of the homeless that I have encountered have been mentally ill AND/OR drug addicts so my solution is to bring back mental asylums. The US government would round up homeless people and send them to mental asylums. Their mental fitness can be evaluated after a detox period. The crazy ones stay locked up but the sane ones are released once they are drug-free. Instead of spending $30M on harm reduction programs, they should get them sober and figure it if they are crazy.
