Judge says he will throw out Sarah Palin's libel suit against New York Times

A federal judge said Monday he will dismiss the libel lawsuit filed by Sarah Palin against the New York Times because lawyers for the former Alaskan governor failed to produce evidence that the newspaper knew what it wrote about her in a 2017 editorial was false or defamatory.

The announcement by U.S. District Court Judge Jed Rakoff came as a Manhattan jury was deliberating the closely watched case. Rakoff said that Palin had failed to show that the Times had acted out of malice, something required in libel lawsuits involving public figures.

Palin is just another right wing snowflake. Poor thing. I hope she recovers

Don’t y’all just love it when leftists, the OP for one, take things out of context? The following puts a different spin on the judge’s ruling.

”Despite the ruling, the judge was critical of the newspaper for publishing the column.

“This is an example of very unfortunate editorializing on the part of the Times,” Rakoff said Monday, according to the Daily Beast, adding that he was “not at all happy” to rule in the newspaper’s favor.”

She’s a Conservative registered as a Republican. She’s no different than other Conservatives. I would not term her right-wing. All Democrats are not left-wing…just ignorant! :-) 😉

But but, it's so much easier to type left or right instead of the longer words. I do that too sometimes when I am super lazy, which is a lot, lol. Besides, right/left-wing is generalized as holding those views from certain parties on the spectrum.
