Are All Politicians "Poser Preps"?

Back in high school you remember the kids who ran for "class president", "student body president", or other shit like that?

They were always preppy kids. And not the cool, super popular preppy kids. They were, for lack of a better way of describing them, children politicians. I mean, even as kids they had that same energy that real politicians have. Milquetoast, generically friendly, seemed attracted to the power and prestige rather than any tangible convictions

That is my theory of politicians. They were all those bland preppy kids who desperately wanted to be popular. I'll take my Pulitzer Prize now

Pulitzer Prize coming your way.

I have always thought the same thing too, most were probably picked on or bullied. the kids at my school that were in StuCo were always the weird nerds, maybe one popular person.

I remember this one nerdy kid that people picked on eventually became a police officer. so your theory is true.

reply

Geez, hope that kid doesn't hold a grudge. I was picked on in middle school, but I coped with it by learning martial arts. Being allowed to carry a gun and having real power and authority while holding a grudge against people seems like a recipe for sadism

And yeah, the student council kids were nerds. But not the anime-drawing types of nerds who sit at the back of the class. They're a weird preppy nerd breed that seems to orbit the popular kids but aren't that popular themselves

Mostly on the Republican side.
Many Democrat politicans come from .....life

I imagine most politicians were the kid that got his head pushed down the toilet and flushed.
