That's quite pathetic, and she should be embarrassed (of course, she's not because she's completely oblivious).
But, how quickly we forget (one of many Lefties doing a Luke Skywalker impression in 2016)...

Neither side has room to effectively gloat or make fun here, and yet both do.
It's not just "rightwing MAGAts" that are the problem. It's all believers, ideologues, etc., anyone who's picked a side, a clique, a group, and grips onto that groupthink with narrowminded fervor, knuckles white, instead of opening up and pondering all possibilities. And I have to say, I see a much larger occurrence of this on the Left today than the Right (although Trump sure did help escalate it, both for Right and Left), and those who are indoctrinated aren't self-aware enough to realize just how far off-center (i.e. reality) they've become.

The real problem is that we congregate into sides at all. It's become a feedback loop that will only continue to escalate unless each and every one of us strives to break that cycle. We need to stop thinking like other people, and each start thinking independently, based on our own empirical observations and experiences. We must stop the groupthink! Groupthink is what allows elites who know how to take advantage of it to rule over how we think and feel, distracting us while they just get more powerful with our unwitting help.
Sometimes I feel like a young Indiana Jones played by River Phoenix at the end of the opening flashback sequence in The Last Crusade, when he comes running out of the cave, looks around and incredulously proclaims, "Everyone's lost but me."
