So it was Biden that made the bad decision and him alone against the advisors

https://youtu.be/wSQSo1C6Vno

Maybe he forgot after most of his advisors said to leave troops in place? If he needs to have a cheat sheet for all his presentations and can only reminisce about his past heritage and children, high probability he's forgotten their advice. Like those times he said China being a challenge a joke to them eating our lunch and Afghanistan not going to fall and then it did.

At least we got a more clear cut process what Milley did when he contacted Li.

reply

Trump inked the deal and gave the Taliban credibility. But I can see why Republicans again would need to lie about it.

reply

They keep forgetting that Trump is the one who laid out all the groundwork for this.

reply

They do!

reply

Yes and if Trump told them to walk off a cliff and they did, it'd be Trump's fault, right? Idiots. All of you.

reply

Trump told them to overthrow democracy on January 6, and they did. Walking off a cliff is nothing compared to that.

reply

Yeah, except he didn't, doggiedaddy. Still a pathological liar.

reply

Yeah, all this totally got him convicted.... oh wait... it didn't because it's not true because leftists are liars like you.

reply

You don't live in reality, do you ?

reply

Fringe kook, radical, leftist, lunatic idiocy where you live isn't reality. Just so you know.

reply

As I suspected - you don't live in reality.

reply

Save it, doggie. You can change you account till the cows come home but we all recognize your foul, leftist stench from a million miles away. You're a proven liar and everyone knows it.

reply

It's the QAnon bubble you live in, right ?

reply

As usual, nothing but mindless drivel. Try harder.

reply

Yeah he did

reply

I wouldn't expect a brainwashed, kook fringe leftist like you to agree that someone is innocent until proven guilty, which he wasn't.

Bow down before the one you serve
You're going to get what you deserve

reply

But you’re Q. It doesn’t get anymore kooky and brainwashed than that cult

reply

I don't know or care what Q is. Try harder.

So Biden dropped Trumps wall agenda which was paid for and being built, also reversed the remain in Mexico deal. He jumped back on the Paris Climate nonsense immediately. But he was not able to do anything but delay the withdrawal from Afghanistan, he can stop and change other Trump policies in moments but he cannot change anything about the withdrawal? Who told Bush he could go in there in the first place? He did, presidents can do whatever they like in that department.

Why not leave troops there and lockdown the airports until all the US personal were out, and then evacuate the equipment or set it up to be destroyed? He literally could have put tracking devices on all the equipment and wiped out 2/3rds of the problem.

reply

All those issues you mentions are not the same, and presidents cannot do whatever they want. You argue like a 4 year old. Republicans have a long history of trying to blow up mistakes made by Democrats, or just anything they can whip up into a frenzy. Trump put this in place, and as usual didn't think about it or plan it. Biden could have and should have done better, but the details were in under the control of the military. You'd blame Biden if it rains tomorrow ... or if it doesn't rain ... you right-wing extremists just seek to cause discord and division ... and you do it with constant lying and insults.

reply

Trump promised the wall would be built his first year in office, with Mexico paying for the wall. The temporary fence he constructed - with our money - blew down in the first wind storm.

reply

According to the advisors in Senate then House testimony:
-Trump Taliban deal emboldened and recouped Taliban troops
-Biden ignored top advisors to keep some troops in Afghanistan
-Biden let advisors do what must be done to evacuate citizens
-Logistical success, strategic failure although thousands or less still trapped in Afghanistan

reply

The first thing that tells everyone how wrong you are is that you spend 100% of your commentary attacking Biden ... whether it is right or wrong, important or not, and pretty much without any factual basis except far right extremist lies and the constant echo chamber BS ... it is all you do. Who can take anything you say seriously?

Then there are the factual news articles that you ignore, such as this one:
Top US general says Afghan collapse can be traced to Trump-Taliban deal
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/sep/29/frank-mckenzie-doha-agreement-trump-taliban

Gen Frank McKenzie, the head of central command, said the unraveling of the US-backed Afghan government accelerated once the US troop presence was pushed below 2,500 as part of the president’s decision in April to complete a total withdrawal by this month.

He claimed that the ordered troop reduction was a “nail in the coffin” for the 20-year war effort because it blinded the US military to conditions inside the Afghan army, “because our advisers were no longer down there with those units”.

Gen Mark Milley, chair of the joint chiefs of staff, meanwhile, said that the withdrawal from Afghanistan was a “strategic failure”. It follows the Trump administration’s February 2020 deal with the Taliban committing the US to withdrawing all troops by May this year, though diplomatic efforts did not gain traction until Biden took office.

--

The point is that as General Milley testified -“We must remember that the Taliban was and remains a terrorist organization and they still have not broken ties with al-Qaida,” he added. “I have no illusions who we are dealing with. It remains to be seen whether or not the Taliban can consolidate power, or if the country will further fracture into civil war.”

Trump started this with an unworkable schedule - UNWISELY, as usual and for political reasons to be to dump it on Biden but also to be able to take credit for the withdrawal as he knew would be echoed in Right-wing media, and with Internet trolls such as you who sit around and constantly parrot Right-Wing talking points no matter how full of doodoo they are.

reply

Yeah it's pretty bad. Although I got the feeling these advisors were also covering their asses. Who knows what the real truth is.
