New Dem bill wants to add hearing, vision and dental to Medicare ( not covered currently )
Why are the Democrats not talking about these things in their new bill?
Why is the only thing that makes the news how much this bill will cost?
AND why is the cost only expressed in terms of the 10-year cost, so it seems 10 times higher to people do not get the context ... it confuses there hell out of voters ... like this country has always done. We have always been dishonest on the issue of taxes in the media about cost.
When we talk about the tax rate ... it is always from the perspective of the Super-Rich who are supposed to be paying the highest tax rates of all of us, but who do not even pay what they talk about in the media as these high rates, and neither do the corporations. When revenue was first brought up in our government it was ONLY the most rich and the most powerful Americans who were taxed at all.
Now the primary reason to tax Americans seems to be to reduce discretionary income so that American citizens are all financially strapped and do not have enough money to donate in their political interests so that the same people who finance both political parties can make this soap-opera reality show fiction that we have a democracy.
When real people want to use our real democracy, we find out it is total sham and that the "owners of the country" will use any means to shut us down. They pay for online trolls and social networking robots to show up and spew noise and Plutocratic talking points into every discussion, always adding in insults and injury to the Democrats - and all so dishonestly.
For example of dishonesty on the part of Republicans ... remember the endless hearings and money that was spent to attack Hillary Clinton when she was Sec. of State over Benghazi? The question is ... how is Trump's and the Republican's real serious attempted coup against our democratic government and fair voting laws less important and less critical than Benghazi?
And it seems like Joe Manchin, and Kirsten Sinema are not the only Democrats on the side of the Aristocratic insurgency, supporting it as much as they can from the opposition party? What kind of sense does that make?
The thing that polls the best with Democrats is fairness ... i.e Tax The Rich, and this is in the new Democratic bill legislated with a lot of input from Bernie Sanders and the Progressives ... and it is what the vast majority in both parties want to see happen ... and it is not even talked about.
When Plutocratic elites can control the media, and own ALL of our politicians ... we have a big problem, a fascist problem ... but what we do not have is a democracy.
