shareThe fact he lost re-election during a pandemic in an election year proves it. Any other president would've been able to use the pandemic to their advantage by going full populist. Pretty much all repubs believe Obama got help in his re-election from the aid he provided after Hurricane Sandy.
Anybody could've told you it's a bad idea, in an election year, to say covid will go away on its own, everyone should figure out on their own if they should wear masks, hospitals should figure out how to get ventilators, and feeding non-scientific bunk like hydroxychloroquine to his supporters.
