Rorikon is on the right track. Nancy Pelosi had no power to remove Trump in 2017 because Dems in the House were in the minority. Even when Dems regained control of the House in 2019 she absolutely refused to entertain impeachment and the rank and file and House members who were elected on the platform of impeaching Trump absolutely hated her for it. There was nearly a revolt among Dem House leaders against Pelosi because she was so adamantly opposed to impeachment.

It was only when Trump forced the issue by trying to extort the Ukrainian president to manufacture dirt on Biden by withholding congressionally approved aid money that forced Pelosi's hand.

It's hilarious how you Trumptards are so ignorant you're not even aware of this and are reduced to outright historical revisionism.
