Pelosi now ready to negotiate a covid relief bill (for half of the original plan)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi holds weekly news conference — 12/4/2020

So basically she's admitting she let all Americans suffer just because she does not like Trump and could not risk a second win. How are you democrats ok with this behavior? All you people crying about tax the rich obviously have money problems. Pelosi not long ago was showing off her $25,000 refrigerator filled with $10,000 worth of ice cream. While she was living the life of luxury most Americans were feeling the effects of the coronavirus financially. How do you leftists consider these crooked politicians your savior?

reply

Because they really don't care. They just want to talk about the Trump bad narrative. I have noticed the resident liberal chuckle heads never respond to posts like these. If its not about Trump then they don't care.

reply

Yes, I think you are right. I'm just now noticing that.

@ItsGood. Your link is to a 20 minute video. You expect people to spend 20 minutes of their time just to assess whether your almost certainly cranky & highly uncharitable reading of Pelosi as 'basically...admitting she let all Americans suffer just because she does not like Trump' is correct or even half-way plausible? Then don't be surprised when that doesn't happen. (I couldn't be bothered myself having already gone down the rabbit hole of at least one other tendentious 20-minute-right-wing-crank-video over the past few days. Life's too short.)

In general, if you want people to read or interact with your stuff you need to put together a more appealing value proposition for your readers (if any).

Anyhow, it's a little staggering to watch you try to spin the reality that the Democratic House repeatedly passed 2nd Covid relief packages this year only to be blocked by McConnell (and harangued by Trump) each time. McConnell's still blocking effective relief. Maybe McConnell 'wins' finally now in December having never compromised or moved from his inadequate/insane starting point. But the additional economic pain that McConnell is causing and going to cause is bad for the country. Presumably McConnell thinks that gullible voters will blame Biden for it so he's fine with that (just as you are thrilled by Pelosi having to eat crow and sign off on proposals she knows fall wildly short). But what do *you* get out of it really? Much deeper recessions than necessary your thing? I don't get it. How about putting your country and fellow citizens first.

You hollow, hollow, toolbag. Pelosi plays ball with repubs, and then you blame her for it. Why not blame Mitch who is the very person she is trying to appease? Bernie Sanders and AOC went out there advocating $2000 checks and the repubs all took turns mocking them for it.

What are repubs going to do when there's no more Pelosi or Schumer, and someone like AOC is speaker and doing exactly what you "itsgood2beright" are asking for in this OP? What will be your new angle then to criticize the blue team?
