Justice Amy Coney Barrett played a decisive role in the decision, which took the opposite approach of earlier court rulings related to coronavirus restrictions in California and Nevada.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court late Wednesday night barred restrictions on religious services in New York that Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo had imposed to combat the coronavirus.

The vote was 5 to 4, with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and the court’s three liberal members in dissent. The order was the first in which the court’s newest member, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, played a decisive role.

religious matters should not go to supreme court sorry but none of the founding fathers were catholic or jewish also wait till the judges realize they can do what ever they want and don't have to do others bidding unless their parents or children are kidnapped and held for ransom

That's not the point, the point is that the SC is the highest court to resolve any legal disputes, not to mediate religious questions.

Don't let me stop you then. Oh wait. You don't sound like good people to me so, think about it.

It's interesting that all the hospitals started historically by and for religious orders don't just turn patients away telling them they have nothing to fear from dying. Or maybe hospitals only treat bad people.

Having insurance and/or going to church or wherever doesn't make you a good person.

Indeed. The US model is designed to milk insurance companies with absurd amounts of billable $$, which allows the insurer to justify inflated premiums and co-pays. And the under insured are stuck with back breaking debt.
