If FORD didn't PARDON NIXON, there was probably a pretty good chance that he could have ended up in prison (along with all the rest of those who were sent there in the WATERGATE scandal).
So it wouldn't be the FIRST TIME that a former POTUS faced the possibility of ending up in PRISON. Plus TRICKY DICK was also GUILTY of INCOME TAX EVASION (like the SCAM MAN).
And once he's NOT in OFFICE anymore, then he's also back to being just another AVERAGE JOE again (just like the rest of us), so suggesting that he can't be put in prison because of WHAT he use to be also has no LEGAL STANDING whatsoever.
And since the CRIMES regarding the FAKE CHARITY that he ran also took place in NYC, that also means a FEDERAL PARDON would be MEANINGLESS (due to the way that would also have no influence over STATE LAW).
