'Anonymous' revealed! Wrote the best seller 'A Warning' and op-ed piece in the NYT
The author who went by the name 'anonymous' when writing the stunning 2018 op-ed piece "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration" in the NY Times, and last year's best-seller 'A Warning' has come forward today to reveal himself.
Former Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor has revealed himself as the 'anonymous' writer who an op-ed piece in the New York Times in September, 2018. Taylor wrote:
“President Trump is facing a test to his presidency unlike any faced by a modern American leader. The dilemma — which he does not fully grasp — is that many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them.”
“The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making. There is a quiet resistance within the administration of people choosing to put country first.”
Taylor also wrote the best-seller "A Warning", detailing the wreckage of the Trump Presidency. The book was released late last year.
Said Taylor today, "To be clear, writing those works was not about eminence (they were published without attribution), not about money (I declined a hefty monetary advance and pledged to donate the bulk of the proceeds), and not about crafting a score-settling 'tell all' (my focus was on the President himself and his character, not denigrating former colleagues). Nevertheless, I made clear I wasn't afraid to criticize the President under my name."
Taylor went on to say, "Too often in times of crisis, I saw Donald Trump prove he is a man without character, and his personal defects have resulted in leadership failures so significant that they can be measured in lost American lives. I witnessed Trump's inability to do his job over the course of two-and-a-half years."
Just this past August, Taylor was asked if he was the name behind 'anonymous' which he denied. These days, Taylor has been featured in high-profiled ads of republicans who once worked for Trump, and are now supporting Biden in 2020.
