That’s what happened after 9-11 for about two years ( my friend sold / rented real estate in Manhattan at the time). It bounced back by the fall of 2003.

yeah not worth it, too much government intervention, too high taxes
Also they cut a billion dollars from the NYPD, and they went full BLM (the NY state government did) - BLM does not support the police.

You will be able to see definitively when NY does their budget
