Trump's rallies killed his re-election

Instead of changing his behavior to make people in the center like him, he focuses all his attention on the MAGAs who already do. This makes the MAGAs like him even more, but distances him further from the majority of the country.

It's self-defeating in two ways. It pushes the center away, and it also causes so many MAGAs to show up that he's fooled into thinking he has the majority's support.

It's fooling the MAGAs as well. They are not prepared for Trump to lose by a landslide. Who knows how they will react, but one thing that's for sure is it will be glorious.

The main problem, I think, is that everyone is using 2016 as some sort if indication for how this election will play out.

Problem is, this isn't 2016.

I think Trump and his voters are leaning heavily on 2016.

I don't think that's a good idea, personally.

reply

FOUR MORE YEARS OF A GOOD JOB OR A CORPSE AND A BITCH RUINING EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF CHANGE AND DISLIKE ONLY....WHY DO YOU HATE TRUMP MORE THAN YOU LOVE AMERICA?

reply

I never said I hated anyone. Why are you yelling at me?

reply

IM NOT...LEARN THE LANDSCAPE BEFORE YOU QUESTION THE INHABITANTS.

reply

The landscape looks very ugly, to be honest.

reply

FAIR ENOUGH...ILL TELL EVERYONE YOU DECIDED TO LEAVE.🙂

reply

I was enjoying this site quite a bit until I came to this forum.

Why such hostility?

reply

Welcome to moviechat, Roto.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of hostile trolls in politics. General forums is better, but sometimes the trolls go there, too. Some people are just unhappy, I guess.

reply

General is better. Movie boards I checked out so far have been good, too. Even the Kirsty Alley board was civil. I cone here and I'm ravaged by angry people, ha ha.

reply

Unfortunately, there are plenty of hostile trolls in politics.

Standard, default, Internet position: Anyone who disagrees with me is a troll. 🙄

reply

Do you have links showing examples in which it's a "standard default internet position"?

reply

You need links?

Life experience: On ANY board people call other people "trolls" over disagreements. "Trolling" online is a totally different thing.

reply

In other words, you just made it up. I thought so.

reply

You continue to be an idiot.

reply

LOL! Whenever someone loses an argument, they resort to insults like you just did.

You're so predictable.

reply

So are you.

Lost what argument? You asked a question about "links," which I thought was silly. I gave you an honest answer, and you made light of it. I guess only Libs and Dems are entitled to have an opinion.

reply

You wrote "Standard, default, Internet position" which implies that there's a repeated history in regard to my comment. I asked you to prove it by showing said history with link(s) which you failed to do. Ipso facto you made it up which is the opposite of an "honest answer".

BTW, I find it interesting that I comment about trolls to another poster and you feel the need to interject. I must have hit a nerve.

reply

Blow it out of your ass. You make no sense.

reply

I'll just copy and paste:

LOL! Whenever someone loses an argument, they resort to insults like you just did.

You're so predictable.

reply

Trolls=Anyone who disagrees with Keelai.

Also the irony of you, of all people, calling anyone else a hostile troll is hysterical.

reply

Trolling is the uncalled for hostility against a new poster.

reply

He's raging that his savior is about to lose.

reply

It's just amazing how hostile they were. I didn't even do anything.

People told me this site was better than Reddit. I want to believe them.

reply

The NUMBERS of his BASE of SUPPORT have pretty much always remained the same (somewhere in the 30% range).

So in that sense it is still like 2016, where MOST PEOPLE won't VOTE for him again, but there's still also a SLIM CHANCE that he could pull the same kind of a TRICK that he did the last time by using the ELECTORAL COLLEGE as a way to SHOVE his way into the OVAL OFFICE again.

But Hopefully that also won't happen again with so many more DEMOCRATS turning out to VOTE EARLY this time than did the last time during the last election.

In other words, the SCAM MAN who ran the FAKE UNIVERSITY and the FAKE CHARITY also wasn't ever going to be able to persuade any so called CENTER group of people to vote for him due to the way the numbers of those who support him has NEVER changed that much ever since he took office and has been in office.

And the FACT still remains that MOST of the people in the COUNTRY STILL also CAN'T STAND HIM.

So keep VOTING to GET RID of the TURD on NOVEMBER the THIRD.

Trump had a lot more going for him in 2016. Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were tired of the lackluster action of the Obama administration. Jobs kept going away, the water was tainted, but nothing was being done, and Hillary was viewed as more of the same.

Now Trump is the incumbent, and he hasn't addressed any of those problems either. Biden is going to win in a landslide because of it.

reply

Wouldn't a LANDSLIDE involve having BIDEN with a HUGE LEAD in each of the 50 STATES???

But since he's TIED or is only 4 or 5 percentage points ahead in some states, wouldn't that also mean he's not going to qualify to win with what's considered to be LANDSLIDE results???

reply

There are states like Tennessee and Kentucky that have Trump nearly 20 points up. Those states are unwinnable because the people have been told all their lives to vote republican no matter what. California and New York are the same for democrats.

But considering Biden is only about 2 points behind in states like Texas and Georgia, that spells an electoral landslide even if he doesn't win Texas or Georgia. No democrat should be that close in those states.

reply

I hope you're right, sir/ma'am. This has been a tiring four years.

reply

I wish you're right. This presidency has stressed me like no other.

reply

Trump rallies killed Herman Cain.

Someone should make a sign of that for his rallies.

reply

When the death of one of your own can't knock some sense into you, nothing will.

reply

We all know Cain didn't take COVID 19 seriously. But COVID took him seriously.

Trump rallies = "Free coronavirus giveaways"

reply

Scared, ain't ya, white guilt?

reply

He’s getting more looney with each rally, spouting out toxic insults left and right.
He knows he’s going down in flames and just doesn’t give a damn

reply

He doesn't scare me as much as those cheering him when he does it. No one should cheer that kind of behavior.

He didn't even condemn that near kidnapping of the governor, did he?

reply

His rallies are LITERALLY killing his supporters.

reply

I'm surprised when I hear people making sober arguments that we were doing well under his regime. He's been a personal train wreck and do people think this sort of person makes good decisions on a bigger scale? I'm EXTREMELY skeptical about the employment numbers, especially claiming Blacks and Latins benefited the most. Sounds like complete fiction, and stats can easily be manipulated by those that choose to. rump had no successful initiative but somehow this was the result of his incumbency -- he waved a magic wand and things were better !!?? And all the time calling Blacks and Latins vile things?
Very disturbing that people are begging to have wool pulled over their eyes. Politics was bad enough before rump, and effortlessly he's made it much worse.

reply

Trump can't change his behavior. He is not being strategic. He is being what he is: racist, sexist, narcissist, sociopath, manipulative, dishonest, pathological liar, delusional.

reply

I don't think they killed his chances, but I would suggest they were/are a contributing factor.

reply

I say it killed his re-election because the MAGA crowd in his rallies are the only people he conveyed any message to. Even when the pandemic hit, all he did was tell the MAGAs what they wanted to hear. It's because he's so addicted to hearing how much people like him. He has no interest in making himself more popular to those who are on the fence about him. That will kill your chances of winning every time.
