"Do you want to get Trump reelected?" While that's not going to happen (thank God!) it's an important point. The whole history of peaceful protest is a history of infiltration by agent provocateurs. Remember the "battle for Seattle" 1999? Peaceful protests of the WTO and some "anarchists" who had no idea what the WTO was used it to smash everything.
And then of course the police response is usually to go after the peaceful protestors, in this case relegating that to their allies the militias. But yes, every store that's vandalized is a mark against the peaceful protestors in the perception of some, even though they have nothing to do with it. Yeah, that is true, going way back in history, the rich and powerful have always kept the masses in line with lies and provocations. People who put this much energy and money into manipulating the country are not going to give up based on rules ... these are people who believe in force and violence ... whatever will work, and if the Left starts to make inroads they will do whatever they need to do to put down any major changes in our society and economy.

Like someone said who I don't recall, "if voting changed anything it would be illegal". And Trump and the Republican know that, agree with it, and even plainly say it. They know that if everyone voted Republicans would never win another election. So, they know ultimately they rely on raw power - PERIOD.

Life in the super-powers is like 1984 or Animal Farm ... we enslave ourselves for the privilege. I wouldn't say the world is over, and it isn't going to happen while we are live most likely. I sure would like to move somewhere else though, and I'll tell you one thing, I would not have children in such a world.

Protesters and rioters are two different things. Don't be like the Trumpers and refer to the rioters as "protesters". It's not the same thing and you know that.
