Trump Tries to End Obamacare for 20 Million during Pandemic

Trump asks the Supreme Court to end the Affordable Care Act which would cause 20 million Americans to lose their health insurance.

Millions more would be denied health insurance because of their preexisting conditions. Parents would no longer be allowed to have their college-aged children covered on their insurance.

Recently, 500,000 Americans have begun their Obamacare coverage because they lost their jobs due to Trump's pandemic.

Trump's death cult is hoping to kill as many Americans as possible.

Let's hear Trumpists defend this.

reply

Trumpers are so stupid that I seriously doubt they'd realise this move will affect many of them as well.

reply

And since they don't have any friends who might get a boost from the ACA, it doesn't matter to them.

reply

I hate Trumpers more than Trump himself at this point.

reply

Being serious, when I see somebody throw out the phrase, "and I have no sympathy for them," I immediately wonder why should anyone have sympathy for you (the poster, not You d6), whatever the situation.
To just sweepingly declare one has no desire to think deeply about what forces are at work when bad things happen, strikes me as so anti-intellect and heartless, I despair at what values and education people are receiving these days.

reply

It's truly sad, indeed. Our country is in decline and I see no discernable recovery in sight...and not just because of COVID.

reply

He will never be able to end Obamacare. Just let him try!

"Trump asks Supreme Court to invalidate Affordable Care Act"

... In its filing to the Supreme Court late on Thursday, the justice department argued "the individual mandate is not severable from the rest of the act".

As a result, it said, "the mandate is now unconstitutional as a result of Congress's elimination... of the penalty for non-compliance".

Mr Trump cannot rely on Congress to complete the dismantling of Obamacare because the Democrats took control of the lower house in 2019."

One bit of good news!
"The Supreme Court is unlikely to hear the case before voters go to the polls in November, US media report."

Most Americans, including Republicans, want to keep it. If they're smart, they will vote for Biden.

reply

I lost my health insurance thanks to Obamacare. They will know how I felt.

reply

Incompetent people are always jealous and bitter over other people's accomplishments.

And people who support him are gullible and believe every lie and ignorant claim that they hear!!

reply

Trump promised affordable healthcare and cheap prescription drugs. Two more broken promises.

reply

Obama promised that, too, at a time when most of us had both already. He took a sledgehammer to that, didn't he?

reply

But, you support Trump! Why are you supporting him when he has betrayed you?

Do you have money to pay for a hospital if you end up there with coronavirus? Or are you on Medicaid (aka: socialism) and my taxes will pay for your medical bills?

reply

Yes, because it was Dems who ruined my HC. Not Trump. You did that with your absolutely asinine idea that we could increase the number of people on HC and it would not cost us more. Idiots!

reply

Funny, I still have great health insurance! You must have a crappy job. It sounds like you're blaming Obama because you have a crappy job! Why don't you just find a better job with health insurance, Einstein? Oh, you're too busy spending hours on moviechat instead of improving your life. Blame your laziness on Obama, too! Your loser Trump does the same blame game.

Continue to support Trump who will guarantee that you have continue to have a miserable life while he kills more Americans and steal from the coffers.

reply

Yeah, that's a riot! But for a lot of us, Obamacare ruined what we had, forced us onto plans that cost much more, with much higher deductibles, much higher copays, much less choices and we never got to keep our plans, which Obama promised. He also promised it would save $7500 per family. Actually, the average increase in cost per family is around $2500. He was only off by $10,000 per family. No biggie!

reply

My health insurance is affordable and fine. You're a whiny loser like Trump.

Trump promised affordable health insurance which you should have now. Stop whining!

reply

Mine isn't. And I don't know a single person here who likes Obamacare. Because it made everything more expensive, way more expensive.

reply

Is Putin paying you by the comment? I'm just curious what your salary is in your mother Russia.

You're welcome!

reply

No but what does Putin had to do with Obamacare?

reply

I don't see any problem. Why don't you just buy your own health insurance like people in my state do?

reply

Because the health insurance we used to have no longer exists. The only choice we have is what we get from Obamacare and we are paying premiums now more than twice we did before it came along. With less options, too! Where are all the savings Obama promised?

reply

Trump promised cheap health insurance, therefore there should be no problem for you to buy private health insurance like my friend did. You should do the same. Stop whining like a toddler!
