I support the right to fire "transpeople" where appropriate

There are circumstances where an employee turning up to work saying that they are now a different gender should be fireable.

For example, a school teacher. Imagine if Mr. Richards turned up one day and says "hello kids, please call me Miss Richards, I'm transitioning to be a woman and I will be wearing a dress. My voice will change too as I take my magic pills."

Sorry, not appropriate. Should be stood down.

You're very simpleminded if this is how you think transitioning works. You should spend less time on this forum posting such inane false bullshit, and educate yourself on what's outside your FOX comfort zone.

reply

It sometimes does work that way.

reply

When ? Link to an example of how it works the way you described. We will wait...

reply

I don't have links to things I saw on TV years ago mate.

reply

SOUTH PARK?

reply

We are not living 'years ago' mate. We're living in the present. Join us some time. You'd be surprised at how the world has progressed, and most people are more knowledgeable than they were years ago on matters such as this.

reply

It's still a disorder.

reply

If you think the world has progressed you haven't been paying attention.

reply

I don't think you know the definition of 'progression'. If you did, you wouldn't be supporting Trump.

reply

Sure, we have "progressed" so much that people are more miserable than ever. ( you just complimented Trump)

reply

"Sure, we have "progressed" so much that people are more miserable than ever. "

That is 100% subjective, not objective.

reply

It's not the FOX comfort zone, but caring about how certain things affect society as a whole, instead of pandering. We live in the "do whatever makes you happy, it's your life" syndrome. It may be our downfall, eventually.

reply

We have progressed into a 'live your true life, and be true to yourself' world. Those who oppose others living their true life are the cause of the downfall.

reply

If that trite little cliche is your idea of a philosophy and a strategy to live life by you really are clueless.

reply

LOL! I do love when Trumpers share their 'wisdom' on the forum.

reply

Living your true life doesn't mean having an adverse affect on the rest of society, nor expecting to have whatever your want. Everything that gave society some structure is not out-of-date and discriminatory. . People today cannot differentiate between equal vs. different, since they are so wrapped up in how special and self-entitled they have been conditioned to feel, which can party be blamed on parenting. The "downfall" is already here. (and it has nothing to do with Trump or what political party you belong to, if any)

reply

I don't know anyone who is living their true life as having an 'adverse affect on the rest of society'. An adverse affect would be just the opposite - society holding them back, which has been happening in this country for over 200 years.

No, they're not living a TRUE life, nor are they being TRUE to themselves. They're lying to themselves and they're lying to everyone around them, expecting for others to accept something that's not true. They then turn it on others living in reality by labeling them "intolerant" or some kind of "ist" or "phobe" because they can't handle reality and would rather others just accept the lie.

It would be no different than someone thinking they are a bear or a dog or a car or an airplane.

They are mentally ill and need help.
They don't need to be made fun of or hurt or be treated like garbage. They're human beings with an illness who needs serious help.

The "downfall" is ignoring this and not getting these people real help. If we do the opposite, we are pandering to a lie, which only hurts them more.

That was the argument against inter-racial couples, inter-religious couples, gay couples, gay people, biracial people, etc. for decades. That has also been the argument against anyone who is 'different' in any way - such as mentally handicapped, physically handicapped, those who suffer from depression, overweight people, etc. - everyone had to be 'fixed' somehow, to fit the perception of 'normal' from people such as you. They couldn't be their true selves. They had to fit your description of what is normal and acceptable.

Disgusting.

Thank God the world evolved despite narrow-minded thinking from selfish, ignorant, envious people like you.

reply

You fool. I am not talking about inter-racial couples, biracial people, handicapped, depressed or overweight people. 🙄

reply

I didn't say you were - yet you are so tone-deaf to what you're posting, it's f*cking unbelievable.

I'm comparing your idiotic logic to how it was applied to other people in society over the decades, and centuries. Those who were trying to live their true lives, but were held back for the same moronic reasoning you bring forth today. But you're so far up your own ass, and so selfish when it comes to others, you don't see that. That's The Trump way - think only of yourself, and the hell with everyone else.

Dang, Doggie! You are close to 500 posts in 11 days! In another month you'll be caught up to me and that's my count since the day Moviechat started!
Your sock is getting dirty very quickly!
Slow down buddy. You may need help with addiction to this board.

Take a walk, breathe in some fresh air. Get some oxygen to your brain. Take off your Antifa scarf. Go watch a movie. Play a board game. Give your dog some attention. Eat a healthy meal. Get some rest.

Someone sounds rather jealous.

reply

Well "jealous" is a little strong. But you're right, I could never compete with that and have a life.

reply

It's too bad you're so limited these days. And within those limitations of each day, you support Trump - that probably earns the most pity for you.

reply

It doesn't make sense, a lot of these things.

I think a teacher's transition could work if the transition was explained to the kids but it might depend on their age. I think transgender teachers should be allowed to work and possibly put on paid medical leave while a strategy is developed. This might be a state or local issue.

I just remember a guy transitioned at my workplace but nobody told the employees. He showed up in a wig/dress/heels and it was awkward to see a 6'2" dude walking around in 6" heels with zero fashion sense. I'd prefer working with a competent transgender person over an incompetent fool.

reply

Some parents would be OK with this and some wouldn't. I'm sure the school would have to address this if enough parents pulled their kids out because they weren't comfortable with their child being around this person.
