Fact check: Trump falsely denies saying two things he said last week

On two occasions during Sunday's coronavirus briefing, President Donald Trump falsely denied he had said words he had said publicly last week.

When PBS's Yamiche Alcindor noted that the President had said he did not believe that governors actually need all the equipment they claimed they did, Trump said, "I didn't say that" — even though he said precisely that on Fox News on Thursday.

Trump just can't stop lying.

Trump was right. He didn't say that, the journalist rephrased what he said. If you quote somebody, you quote exactly what he said, you don't change it into something different that serves you best.

The CNN and the usual fake fact check news...

During a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity Trump said, "a lot of equipment's being asked for that I don't think they'll need"

So is Fox News fake too?

reply

What you have quoted now is different from what you said he said before.

With "a lot of equipment's being asked for that I don't think they'll need" he doesn't say what governors were asking for excessive equipment. It seems that the quote refers only to NY one, who asked for 50,000 ventilators... actually as many ventilators as confirmed cases right now. It's excessive.

In what you said (or the CNN said) he said, I quote the article "he did not believe that governors actually need all the equipment they claimed they did" which changes the issue from one governor to all the governors. CNN rephrased with new words to change the meaning of what he said.

Aren't you tired of making excuses for Trump?

reply

Nice job being wrong but not being big enough of a person to admit it. Lol, you're a total joke. I'd block you,but I love seeing how the idiotic left thinks with raw emotions rather than facts.

"A lot of equipment's being asked for that I don't think they'll need" - What Trump said.

"He did not believe that governors actually need all the equipment they claimed they did" - Part of the article being reported about Trump. The reporter did not say that is Trump's quote.

If you read the article you would see Trump's exact quote is reported in beginning of the article. Apparently you don't have any reading comprehension skills. That's a fact.

reply

Ohhhh, you really got me, except you didn't...that's a fact.😂

reply

He hates when reporters quote him directly. Just like when I quote Shitman27 directly and he has a meltdown for me doing so.

Look at this open space I have in your head, dogdump? Thanks for clearing out the useless brain matter that did absolutely nothing for you!🤪🤪🤪🤪

Do I need to spell it out for you what context means again? How many times would it be? Ten? Twenty? Doesn't matter at this point as you're simply just too stupid and Ignorant to understand or want to understand. That must be Trump's fault too, yes? 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

reply

And yet another meltdown from you. What a shock, I tell you!

reply

That's what you consider a meltdown? Snowflake much? 🤪🤪🤪
