We are likely to be in recession soon if we aren't already...

shareSeeing Trump cut funds to the CDC, I think the possible pandemic would hurt him very much. Trump can't be reelected if there is a recession and a pandemic. And seeing that his cuts and inaction made the spread of the virus worse, he will be blamed big time.
shareWithin a week there will be montages of the Democrat media calling this “Trumps Katrina” because something happened somewhere. Book it.
Current estimates have the fatality rate between 1-3%. It’s not even close to the flu.
Part of the stock market pull back is people taking profits to pay taxes on said profits from the 2019 Trump boom. Happens every year after a big year around this time. April 15th will pass and it’ll be booming again, if not sooner.
We don't actually know what the fatality rate is due to the uncertainty in how accurately we are testing and recording the number of cases (in part caused by the ridiculously long incubation period and asymptomatic transmission). Even, if this did die down in April, there is no guarantee it couldn't mutate and come roaring back in the fall. This disease is a lot more virulent and deadly than the flu, and there is no way to stop this thing that I can see short of shutting much of the world economy down for at least a month. We chosen to keep the economy going, so this is going to kill about 2.5% to 3 % of those infected in the next couple of months. That much is certain. What is less certain is how much of the population becomes infected before the (speculative) life giving airs of spring come over us.
